The science behind beauty

Beauty from within — scientifically conceived.

Nutricosmetics nourishes the body from the inside out, rather than relying on external care alone. At its centre is one molecule: collagen — the most important structural protein of our connective tissue. We show openly what has been measured in studies — and what has not.

The nutricosmetics principle

Why beauty begins within.

Collagen is the most abundant and most important structural protein of the various connective tissues in the human body. As the main component of connective tissue, it accounts for 25 to 35 % of the total body protein content. It is decisively involved in the firmness and elasticity of the skin.

From the age of 20, we produce less and less collagen each year. The effects become visible after a few years: the skin becomes thinner, drier and less elastic. Hair loses its firmness and lustre. The nails become brittle.

This is exactly where nutricosmetics comes in: instead of caring for the skin only from the outside, we deliberately supply the body with what it lacks — bioactive collagen peptides and carefully dosed micronutrients. In controlled studies, effects on skin elasticity and wrinkle volume were measurable (Proksch et al., 2014); how pronounced they are is individual.

Four pillars

What our formulas are built on.

Scientifically proven

We use actives backed by published, controlled human studies — such as hydrolysed collagen peptides (Proksch et al., 2014; Clark et al., 2008). We do not run studies of our own.

High bioavailability

Liquid, hydrolysed peptides with a low molecular weight are absorbed faster and more completely than powders or capsules — the absorption rate is around 95 % according to the manufacturer.

Pure ingredients

Award-winning, patented and biotechnologically refined natural active ingredients — from the most renowned suppliers in Switzerland, France and Germany.

Tested quality

The collagen peptides we use have been examined in published clinical studies. Production under cGMP standard, approved across Europe.

Liquid beats solid.

10,000 mg of collagen peptides per daily dose, dissolved in 25 ml of liquid — precisely dosed and ready to drink, with nothing to mix.

Bioavailability

What the body really absorbs.

For collagen to work, it must find its way from the gut into the tissue. The decisive step is hydrolysis: enzymatic cleavage produces small, water-soluble bioactive collagen peptides (BCP), rich in glycine and proline. According to the manufacturer, the absorption rate of such peptides is around 95 %; we have no independent comparative data on this.

The peptides are absorbed in the gut and accumulate precisely where they are needed — in skin, cartilage and connective tissue. In a randomised, placebo-controlled study, skin elasticity was significantly better than placebo after 4 weeks and eye wrinkle volume significantly reduced after 8 weeks (Proksch et al., 2014).

Key ingredients

The best collagen peptides in the world.

Our supplements contain the highest-quality collagen peptides on the world market. Published clinical studies exist for both.

Bovine collagen · Type I

Fortigel® from Gelita®

Bioactive collagen peptides obtained through specific enzymatic hydrolysis of bovine collagen type I. In randomised studies on collagen peptides, joint discomfort in physically active adults decreased significantly (Clark et al., 2008); for bone density there is a 12-month placebo-controlled study (König et al., 2018). Collagen is not a medicine. Manufactured according to the European guidelines for gelatine and collagen.

Marine collagen · Wild-caught

Peptan® from Rousselot®

Marine collagen from the skin of wild-caught salmon — sustainable wild catch from clean waters. Peptan® delivers ultra-pure, hydrolysed peptides; collagen peptides of this kind have been examined in published clinical studies on skin and joints (incl. Proksch et al., 2014).

Moisture & elasticity

Hyaluronic acid

Binds moisture in the skin, smooths fine lines and improves elasticity. In the joint it acts as a natural lubricant — the ideal partner for collagen peptides.

Co-factors

Vitamins & minerals

Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress (authorised health claims). The B complex, vitamin D3, zinc, magnesium and silicon complete the formula — for skin, hair, nails, bones and energy metabolism.
